This website is run for Lantern Point Charters (“we”) by DockBoost, which builds and hosts it. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and your choices.

What we collect

  • Trip requests and messages you send: your name, email and/or phone, party size, preferred date, the trip you’re interested in, and your message.
  • Chat messages: what you type into the website’s chat assistant.
  • Bookings (when online booking is available): the details needed to run your trip, including passenger names, ages and emergency contacts where the captain needs them for safety and float plans.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details, used briefly to keep the site secure and to limit abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

To answer your questions, respond to trip requests, run and confirm bookings, send trip-related messages (confirmations, reminders, weather updates), and keep the site safe. We do not sell your information.

Who else handles it

  • Stripe processes payments when you pay a deposit or balance online. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on this site.
  • Anthropic provides the AI behind the chat assistant; your chat messages are sent to it to generate answers.
  • Hosting, content, email and text-message providers that run the site on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing their service.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about your request or trip. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

Trip requests and messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for our business records; booking records as long as tax and legal rules require. Security logs are kept briefly.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or stop messages at any time — contact (231) 794-7449 or captain@example.com.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian makes bookings for minors.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
